At Underground boardworks we see surfing a little differently than most surf shops. We're not about mass marketing, contests, or fashion. In fact we do not consider surfing to be a competitive sport. To us surfing is a lifestyle. The love of the ocean, surfing clean waves, sharing life with friends and family, exploring new surf spots or enjoying old "secret spots," these things are what we consider to be important.
At Underground Boardworks we provide equipment to "core" surfers. Our boards are not mass-produced in some oversea sweatshop. We make all of our boards right here on Tybee Island. They can be tailored to fit your style, size and ability. The choice is yours.
